At St Thomas’ we believe

  • in a God who is loving and generous.

  • in a new relationship with God made possible through the life and death of Jesus.

  • that God has called us into his family.

So we seek to celebrate this in our worship, our life together, and our links with the town.

When and where we worship

Our main worship on Sunday is the Parish Communion at 11.00am. There is Sunday School during the service for children aged 3 and above. After the service there is an opportunity to chat over a cup of tea.

On the 4th Sunday of each month the main worship is usually a parade service with our uniformed young people’s groups taking a leading part in the worship.

In addition, there is a quiet Holy Communion, at 8am every Sunday and on Wednesday at 10.30am.

We also have worship on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday evenings of each month

  • either a gentle Communion Service with space for reflection and shared praying

  • or a led Bible meditation accompanied by Taizé chants
